"Corona and the altered view of work." - Conference at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences
Our partner, the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences (HoMe), invited students, partners and interested parties to the lecture event “Corona and the changed view of work” on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. In seven lectures, HoMe partners reported on their experiences, developments and observations during the pandemic.
In addition to representatives of the university, GISA GmbH, PROLOGA GmbH and IT-Consult Halle GmbH, our managing director Markus Kaiser gave a short presentation on how the Corona crisis has affected the needs of his customers.
Under the title “Corona in the environment of logistics and transport” he reported on the losers and winners in logistics, the rethinking within companies and the resulting changes in the needs of logistics and production companies. Above all, the desire for a contactless process for delivery movements on the farm became increasingly loud during the pandemic.
The solution: a mobile yard process with digital data reconciliation and truck check-in, mobile security checks, contactless loading and electronic transmission of delivery and freight documents.
He also reported on the results of the test phase at our pilot customer. The result: people are lagging behind the technological possibilities. Among other things, the lack of a smartphone, the inability to operate a smartphone or even the sheer refusal to do so were problems that arose during the test. Nevertheless, this is the first step in the right direction and the beginning of a long development process.
The subsequent exchange with the participants and speakers was particularly interesting and we are open to discussing the topic further with interested parties through all possible channels.
